Interventional Radiologic Technologist (Full‑Time)

Location: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD
Setting: Primary Care Services for Active‑Duty Service Members

Position Overview

USGP is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to support active‑duty service members in a dynamic, mission‑driven healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $58.71/hour + Health and Welfare Stipend
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • On‑Call Pay: $12.00/hour (rotating schedule)
  • Call‑Back Pay: Time and a half
  • Full Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k)
  • Paid Time Off and Sick Leave Available
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Interventional Radiology Technologist program (JRCERT)
  • Certification: Current Certificate in Vascular‑Interventional Radiology (VI)
  • Additional

    Certifications:

    Valid BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of post‑graduate experience in interventional radiology
Immunization Requirements
  • Hepatitis B (series and titer)
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • TB (Tuberculosis) test
  • Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine
  • COVID‑19 vaccine (if applicable)
Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain interventional radiology equipment and ensure proper use in collaboration with radiologists and medical staff.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and educate them and their families on pre‑ and post‑care expectations.
  • Perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Ensure age‑appropriate care is provided, adjusting communication and procedural support as needed for pediatric through geriatric patients.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with quality assurance initiatives and patient safety standards.
