Position Summary

The Project Manager, Operations, is responsible for the design, execution, and evaluation of public health initiatives. This role will ensure that all NACHC projects related to Science, Education, Practice and Policy meet the needs of stakeholders, including funders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program/Project Implementation:
    Lead the planning and execution of health projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Program Status:
    Track all deliverables for each project and grant. Provide COO with updates about the time, deliverable, and financial status of each project and grant. Alert management when/if project is behind on deliverables, encounters a roadblock or is not being spent on the agreed upon time schedule.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build and maintain collaborative relationships with NACHC stakeholders including nonprofit, for-profit, and government funders.
  • Budget & Grant Management:
    Oversee program budgets, manage grant funding cycles, and ensure that all fiscal operations comply with funding requirements.
  • Data & Evaluation:
    Use analytical tools to track outcomes, conduct needs assessments, evaluation metrics and adjust strategies based on real-time data.
  • Leadership & Coordination:
    Work closely with other functional areas to track project requirements. Lead cross-functional project teams, assign tasks, and track progress through project completion.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure programs adhere to HIPAA rules, HRSA standards, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required;
    Master’s degree (MPH or related) is preferred.
  • 35 years of progressive project management experience
  • Proven experience managing cross functional projects
  • Experience leading projects from initiation through completion
  • Familiarity with budgets, timelines, and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work efficiently.
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively conveying information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Possesses the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Applies strong problem solving and decision making skills to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Identifies potential project risks and proactively develops mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Engages stakeholders effectively and resolves conflicts collaboratively to maintain project momentum and alignment.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and databases.
  • Project management software (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Proficiency with data analytics to inform business decisions.
  • Proficiency with basic profit/loss management.
