- Training & Development: We’ll equip and train you with a multifaceted approach that includes an industry-leading learning platform, personalized coaching from dedicated training professionals, and the ability to obtain industry professional designations. We subsidize training in your first two full-time contract years and may provide additional funds if you qualify to support your training and career growth. You’ll also have opportunities to obtain financial designations and to be rewarded with sales incentives and professional-development trips for top performers.
- Digital Tools: Access to tools for day-to-day success, including experts on hand and a suite of digital sales, prospecting, and marketing tools to help you attract and retain clients with web, social, and email content.
- Products & Solutions: New York Life offers a range of products, including life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products such as mutual funds through NYLIFE Securities LLC (FINRA/SIPC). You’ll be able to specialize and gain expertise in areas such as wealth management and advisory services, estate planning strategies, and business solutions.
- Human Guidance: You’ll join a strong team with peer-to-peer support options like study groups, mentorship, and opportunities to engage with fellow insurance agents.
- Engage and educate clients on planning for their financial future to prepare for unexpected life events.
- Cultivate relationships to help every family member or individual pursue financial security.
- Grow your network by participating in your community and professional groups.
- Drive to add 50 new clients a year.
- Work with business owners to implement strategies for employee retention and succession planning.
- Develop and maintain long-term bonds with clients to build trust and community continuity.
- Increase knowledge within the financial industry and pursue specializations via the New York Life training curriculum.
- Help clients implement financial recommendations such as life insurance, savings plans, mutual funds, and other products.
- Assess each client’s potential life and financial needs to create individualized financial plans leveraging our products and services.
- Collect and organize each client’s financial information using a CRM to determine financial status, goals, cash flow, and expectations.
- Leverage marketing and social media tools to identify, pursue, and secure new clients who can benefit from a trusted financial service professional.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field required.
- Proven success as a financial planner, personal financial advisor, financial analyst, or financial consultant is essential.
- Program proficiency including MS Office, Google Suite, CRM systems, and financial planning software preferred.
- Valid professional license (CPA, or CFP) and FINRA Series 7 and 66 required;
Series 63/66 may be preferred but not required. - Up-to-date knowledge of the financial industry, products, best practices, and tax regulations necessary.
- Growth mindset; lifelong learning; integrity; strong communication; networking and prospecting ability.
- Excellent calendar management; enterprising spirit; sales experience preferred.
- Willingness to engage with the community and leverage personal networks; coachable and eager to learn; bilingual is a plus.
- Valid life and health license preferred; we can assist with obtaining it.
$100,000 per year plus at-plan earnings.
