Senior Revenue Accountant
Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Reporting to: VP, Controller
Our Finance team is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to support revenue recognition for SaaS offerings. The role ensures ASC 606 compliance, manages contract reviews, prepares revenue schedules, and streamlines revenue processes with AI tools.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end revenue cycle, ensuring all analysis and reporting comply with US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Leverage AI tools to automate contract reviews, streamline billing templates, and perform advanced revenue variance analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to review complex agreements and provide insights on actual vs. forecasted revenue.
- Maintain revenue and billing schedules within Net Suite, ensuring seamless data flow from Salesforce and other upstream tools.
- Own monthly revenue close processes, reconcile deferred revenue, and prepare audit‑ready schedules and documentation.
- Design and implement automated internal controls and workflows to increase efficiency in billing and revenue operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CPA track required.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years concentrated in SaaS or Technology revenue recognition.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, Net Suite, and Excel; experience with Salesforce or Flo Qast is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in using AI tools to optimize accounting workflows.
- Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented with exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including ePHI and PHI in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- US citizenship or permanent residency required.
