Salary: $84,757.00 to $ per year. Additional compensation may also be possible based on experience and skills.
ResponsibilitiesThe Commercial Credit Underwriter III underwrites new and existing commercial loans through analysis of borrower’s credit history, financial performance, current market trends, collateral, and feasibility. Uses spreads and analysis of financial statements, real estate spreadsheets, tax returns, A/R & A/P agings and proformas/forecasts for C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and SBA loan requests. Deals are generally larger and vary in complexity from Commercial Credit Underwriter I or II.
The number of analyst tasks and degree of difficulty will be rated generally moderate to advanced. Supports Lending Department by providing personal and business credit reports, property values based on third party data and industry analysis as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Finance, Economics or related field in lieu of 3 additional years of experience in commercial credit, financial statement analysis and formal credit training
- Web-based credit training through RMA or Omega or similar programs
- 5 years analysis in commercial credit or middle-market experience
- General working knowledge of MS Office
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong logic and math skills
- Leadership or supervision experience
- Other banking experience helpful
- Experience with spreading software
