About the Job

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Windows System Administrator to support the overall day-to-day operations and management of the MS Windows-based enterprise environment. This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

Maintaining Active Directory, database servers, application servers, web servers, DHCP and DNS, NAS and SAN, and backup systems

Ensuring that security updates and patches are current

Creating, managing, and maintaining group policies, user accounts, security groups, and distribution lists

Configuring desktops and servers to meet security requirements

Creating and maintaining server configuration documentation

Creating and maintaining Windows system administration processes and procedures

Backing up and restoring, as necessary, all network data

Ensuring disaster recovery processes and procedures are accurate, current, and compliant

Monitoring server capacity

Managing and maintaining servers, including performance tuning

Installing, managing, and maintaining server-based applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree

• Completion of 8570 IAT Level II certification, e.g., Security+

• Experience with the following IT disciplines:

Windows, Linux, and/or Unix
Hardware and software systems
Software development
Application development
Data management
Cybersecurity
Network administration

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment

• Understanding of Agile processes

This position requires an active Secret clearance.
