Overview

The Goddard School is seeking Preschool and Pre-K Lead Teachers for the Bethesda, MD location. The program follows a Piaget (Learning through Play) foundation and aims to foster a lifelong love of learning. Our staff are dedicated teachers who understand each child’s needs and create unique lesson plans based on the Goddard Developmental Guidelines, brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.

• Meeting the individual needs of the children

• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff

• Minimum of MSDE-OCS Teacher requirements (90 hour training) or Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• Prior classroom experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Strong written and communication skills
