Multi‑Sport Counselor - MD: at Headfirst Summer Camps

Lead and coach 5‑12‑year‑old campers in a variety of sports and team‑building activities following a pre‑written curriculum. You will bring enthusiasm, dedication and unmatched energy to create a fun, intentional and transformational camp experience.

• Bring camp to life through enthusiastic coaching and vibrant leadership.
• Coach a team of 8–10 campers, often alongside a co‑counselor.
• Implement Headfirst’s safety protocols (supervision, bathroom, emergency medications, behavior management).
• Follow a planned schedule: lead team meetings, sports, physical challenges, bathroom & sunscreen breaks, transitions, lunch & snack spots.
• Assist with morning and afternoon car‑pool, welcoming families by name and performing coordinated procedures.
• Support campers’ physical, social and emotional safety and development through hands‑on, team‑based activities.
• Represent Headfirst for families and facility partners, demonstrating the brand daily.
• Participate in maintaining the camp facility and community; be a reliable and flexible team member.
• Apply a “How can I help?” mindset, practice resiliency, problem‑solve and embrace new challenges.

• Must be at least 18 years old (16‑17 year‑olds may apply for Junior Counselor).
• Able to work around small children (sitting, standing, running, climbing stairs) for the full day.
• Comfortable working in hot outdoor environments while supervising campers and engaging in dynamic activities for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Committed to the cell‑phone free policy: lock phones in a pouch for the duration of your shift.

$15.65 per hour
