The Business Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting business development operations, client engagement, and administrative functions in support of all business units. This position is responsible for sourcing public opportunities and CRM data management. The coordinator also supports the Client Care Program and assists with planning and logistics for client engagement events and conference travel. Close collaboration with Business Unit Leaders, Marketing, and Preconstruction teams is essential to ensure alignment and consistency in relationship management, opportunity tracking, and pipeline development.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively source public project opportunities across multiple platforms, track internal interest levels, and monitor RFP release dates
  • Proactively maintain active licenses, renewals, and registration as required across all procurement sites ensuring compliance
  • Input and manage data in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Provide support to the Client Care program in partnership with internal team members and third‑party vendor, including tracking and reporting on engagement metrics
  • Collaborate with internal and external key stakeholders – including trade partners, clients, and vendors, to coordinate logistics for onsite and offsite events
  • Coordinate University of Maryland (UMD) tailgate events including catering and supply purchasing
  • Oversee the distribution and tracking of company sports tickets
  • Prepare, submit, and reconcile expense reports for the business development team
  • Coordinate event and conference registrations for the business development team
  • Maintain and update the business development and marketing calendar
  • Organize and manage travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and site logistics for business unit leaders and business development team
  • Handle special projects and tasks assigned to support various initiatives and goals
  • Serve as a backup for the receptionist and executive assistant, and assist with other office‑related tasks as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with a high degree of integrity and discretion
Knowledge, Experience, & Special Skills Required
  • A minimum of five (5) years in an administrative assistant or administrative support role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Wage Transparency

In accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00

Job Demands

May be exposed to heavy machinery/equipment, hazardous chemicals and extreme weather conditions. A minimum of 40 hours per week is required. Works hours will vary depending on project specifications, and may involve overtime, weekends and night work.
