Summary
The Project Accountant will work with the Senior Project Accountants and Project Managers to oversee the accounting and compliance requirements for a portfolio of projects. This position requires strong communication skills working with CWC staff at all levels.
Responsibilities- Manage subcontractor billings and compliance for projects within Oracle Textura portal
- Compile required documentation and ensure accuracy of owner requisitions
- Oversee financial risk management for projects to ensure compliance with subcontractor default insurance requirements
- Assist project managers in tracking all costs associated with current projects and assist in completion of project budget reports
- Review certified payroll reports for regulatory compliance
- Run project financial reports for field staff and assist with understanding of reports
- Use latest technology and software to complete projects as assigned
- Other duties / special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- At least one (1) of experience in project accounting or related field
- 1+ years of experience working on construction-related accounting concepts including over/under billings, cashflow, forecast to complete, and revenue recognition
- 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- 1 + years of experience in Accounting Software;
Sage Timberline, and Oracle Textura experience preferred
In accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $95,000.
