Accounts Payable Associate

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing invoice processing, coding, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.

Responsibilities:

- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation.

- Accurately code invoices according to company guidelines.

- Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.

- Handle check runs and ensure payments align with deadlines.

- Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions.

- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or inquiries.

- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

- Proficiency in invoice coding and processing.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting certifications are a plus.
