Staff Accountant – Construction/Manufacturing
Location: Bethesda, MD (On-site, 5 days/week)
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Our client is a respected construction and manufacturing organization based in Bethesda, MD, known for its strong commitment to operational excellence, safety training, and community involvement. The company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its accounting team and support ongoing growth.

Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will play a key role in the daily accounting operations across two business entities. This position requires solid foundational accounting knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to manage routine accounting tasks with consistency.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries
- Apply core knowledge of debits and credits
- Perform general accounting functions and support month-end close
- Handle billing for the manufacturing business
- Apply cash receipts accurately
- Manage fixed assets for both companies, including capitalization and depreciation
- Prepare sales & use tax returns
- Assist the Controller and accounting team with additional projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable work ethic and consistent attendance
- Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industries
- Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint (a plus)
- Strong internship experience for entry-level applicants
- Salary range: $70,000–$80,000
