Senior Accountant

Compensation: $70k- $115k

A well-established real estate organization is seeking an Accountant II to join a highly tenured property accounting team. This role supports a portfolio of office and industrial properties and works closely with property management, collections, and senior leadership. The team has extremely low turnover and is looking for someone who values stability, collaboration, and long-term growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys hands-on property accounting and wants to be part of a close-knit, experienced team.

• Perform all aspects of property accounting for a complex portfolio of properties
• Complete monthly close, including booking accruals and preparing operating statements
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Analyze and explain budget-to-actual variances
• Prepare tax and operating expense recovery billings
• Abstract lease documents into the accounting system
• Review and post monthly fixed charges and distribute courtesy statements
• Apply cash to tenant accounts receivable and correspond with tenants regarding balances
• Collaborate with Property Management and Collections to resolve tenant inquiries
• Research and respond to inquiries from senior management during monthly and quarterly closes
• Assist with training and mentoring junior accountants
• Support special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience (property or real estate environment strongly preferred)
• Hands‑on experience with Yardi (required)
• Strong understanding of property accounting and tenant‑level accounting
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through
• Demonstrated tenure and commitment in prior roles

• CPA or progress toward CPA
• Commercial real estate or property accounting background
• Competitive base salary ($70,000–$115,000, based on experience)
• Annual bonus (not performance‑based)
• 100% onsite (5 days per week; no remote or hybrid flexibility)
