Description Job Summary
A warehouse specialist is responsible for managing the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse. They ensure that products are properly received, stored, and prepared for delivery to customers. Their duties include:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to ensure they match the purchase order and meet quality standards.
- Storing goods organized and safely, using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating them in the computer system.
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, including verifying that the correct products are included and that the packaging is secure.
- Operating material-handling equipment and using scanners to track and locate products.
- Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles.
- Participating in regular physical counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Participating in the planning and implementation of warehouse layout and design to optimize efficiency.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Assisting in the training of new warehouse employes. These responsibilities are essential for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operation and ensuring that good reach their destination on time and in good condition.

Clear written and verbal communication for teamwork and coordination. - Problem-Solving:
Critical thinking to resolve unexpected issues. - Teamwork & Adaptability:
Ability to work well with others and adapt to changing priorities. - Safety Focus:
Knowledge of OSHA standards and adherence to safety protocols. - Time Management:
Efficiently handling tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License (sometimes CDL) for driving company vehicles.
- Experience with hazardous materials handling.
- Data analysis skills for performance metrics.
