The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience preferred, but will train on the job.
• Current (and maintain) Certified Nurses Assistant License;
  Current (and maintain) CPR and First Aid
• Medical equipment as appropriate for position: BP cuff, thermometer, thermometer sheaths, stethoscope, alcohol pads and wipes, sanitizing gel and client equipment on an individualized basis, and personal protective equipment.
• Language Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend short correspondence and memos and follow instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and keep basic records of tasks performed.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, family and employees of the corporation.
• Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals,
  • Ability compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
