Job Description:
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care and to achieve the best possible patient outcome. Serves as a resource person when the situation requires.
Applies age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Is responsible for care of all patients from birth to elderly, including post-surgical and behavioral health patients. Is responsible for conducting the initial assessment and re-assessment every 24 hours.
Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care using the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide cost-effective and efficient care.
Apply age-specific considerations and address cultural diversity in patient care.
Conduct initial and re-assessments every 24 hours for all patients from birth to elderly.
Requirements:
Completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Surg preferred.
Licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Current BLS & ACLS.
Acceptance of international nurses who have completed the NCLEX, TOEFL, and Visa Screen in a designated H1-C critical shortage area.
Proof of completed COVID vaccinations required for all travelers.
