Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a long-term care facility assignment in Alaska, requiring an active state license and current BLS certification.

Job Details

• Work in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility,

• Patient population includes adult and geriatric residents requiring skilled nursing care,

• Day and night shifts available with variable scheduling,

• Use of standard medical equipment such as Dynamapp, thermometers, Datascope, and Pulse Oximetry,

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or LVN program,

• Active Alaska LPN license in good standing (license required if applicable),

• Current BLS certification required for duration of assignment,

• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in hospital or long-term care; new graduates accepted,

• Ability to pass medication math test for adults and pediatrics upon arrival,

• Documentation of JC-required nursing competencies and IV certification course,

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice in collaboration with the care team,

• Participate in orientation conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday at assignment start,

• Hospital housing provided in shared units with private bedrooms (single-gender units, no dogs),

• Facility reimburses economy-level flights to and from assignment with required receipts,

• Flight itinerary must be submitted 1 week before start; facility assists with airport pick-up on arrival,

• Competency in IV/central line care, fall precautions, age-specific care, abuse/neglect response, pain management, blood transfusions, and related skills expected,

• Work in a remote area with travel and housing support provided,
