RequiredSkills
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alaska
- Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with compensation and pension evaluation processes is preferred
- Prior experience performing VA exams or health assessments
- Knowledge of military or veteran healthcare processes
- Certification in CPR or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Education and Experience
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a general medicine setting
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a specialty or assessment role is advantageous
- Own clinical office in Alaska within designated radius (Juneau, Sitka, or Delta Junction)
- Reliable internet access and ability to perform remote administrative tasks
- Willingness to complete required certifications and onboarding processes
- Commitment to providing high-quality assessments to Veterans
- No travel reimbursements for certifications or portal training
This position offers a highly competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with flexible scheduling options—choose between half-day (4‑hour) or full-day (8‑hour) shifts.
