** Position
Qualifications:
** - Completion of a nursing program from an NLN approved institution.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting.
- Current license in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in Alaska.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong proficiency with office equipment (computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine).
- Familiarity with medical equipment relevant to your role (EKG, Cystoscopy).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible and capable of independent actions within prescribed limits.
- Ability to utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, including:
- Administering treatments and medications - Interpreting diagnostic tests - Educating patients, families, and significant others - Collaborating with other healthcare professionals - Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing skills.
- Competency in reading and interpreting various professional documents.
- Proficient in basic mathematics relevant to nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems in diverse situations.
- Experience in supervising unit secretaries and PCTs alongside the Charge Nurse.
