Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of post-graduate CT experience and ARRT credentials for a hospital contract assignment.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a hospital diagnostic imaging department
- Performs CT scans and radiographic exams on patients across all age groups, including newborn to geriatric
- Knowledge of CT angiograms is required
- Work schedule varies, with typical rotations of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
- Shifts and unit assignments may vary according to department needs
- Main responsibilities include performing diagnostic CT imaging, operating imaging equipment, and assisting with patient care in the imaging department
- Some receptionist duties may be required as needed
- Limited or no supervisory responsibilities
- New employee orientation is held only on Tuesday and Wednesday
- Hospital-provided housing is available in shared units with private bedrooms and shared common spaces; no pets are allowed
- Flight reimbursement is provided for economy-level airfare with required documentation
- Flight itinerary information must be submitted at least one week before the start date
- All required credentials must be received and cleared prior to travel or assignment start
- Returning travelers are not provided airport pickup
- Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate radiologic experience in a hospital setting
- Current registration with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), CT registered or board eligible
- BLS certification required for the duration of the assignment
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate computer proficiency
- Must provide documentation of competencies including IV/central line care, fall precautions, age-specific care, abuse/neglect, pain management, blood transfusions, and others as required
- Must pass a medication calculation math test for adults and pediatrics upon arrival
- Immunizations required:
Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tdap, Polio, or provide titers/historical records - Physical, fit test, and background check required
