** - Full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care - Treat patients of all age ranges and diagnoses within the State of Alaska’s occupational therapy scope of practice - Opportunities for home visits and village travel - Collaborate frequently with medical providers - Strong didactic skills needed due to Alaska’s Direct Access privilege for occupational therapy - Integrate evidence-based medicine into patient care plans - Exhibit professionalism, ethics, and respect for cultural diversity while providing care - Modify patient care plans based on age-specific and patient-specific considerations - Support the mission of "Working Together to Achieve Excellent Health"

Qualifications:

**
- Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum Experience:

No minimum clinical experience required, but preferred - Licensing/Certification:

- Licensed in good standing in Alaska or have an active license in another state awaiting licensure in Alaska - Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
** Equipment/Tools:** - Office equipment: computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine - Hospital-based: standard Occupational Therapy Department environment with therapeutic equipment, modalities, and ADL training rooms - Village-based: treatment table provided; therapist brings necessary equipment
** Specialized Knowledge and

Skills:

** - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret occupational therapy literature - Skill in composing patient care documentation and medical correspondence - Effective communication with medical staff, peers, and administrative personnel - Ability to engage with diverse cultures and language barriers
** Additional Information:** - Shared housing units available (private housing not provided) - No pets allowed - Airfare reimbursed after arrival in Bethel, AK; itinerary required one week in advance - New Employee Orientation held every Tuesday and Wednesday - Onboarding requirements must be met before travel
