Position Summary

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and coordinates nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Serves as a resource person as needed. Applies age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when providing care. Supports the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation’s mission statement. Responsible for care of patients across the lifespan, from birth through elderly.

• Graduate of an NLN-approved nursing program
• Preferred: one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting
• Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Current BLS certification
• Must pass and maintain required competencies for the position
