Join the Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP) as an Education Facilitator at our Bethel location! In this vital role, you will empower school‑aged children by providing direct supervision, academic coaching, and engaging STEM‑focused programming. You will be a key part of fostering a supportive learning environment and guiding students toward success in college and future STEM careers.
Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision, academic coaching, and engaging STEM‑focused programming for up to 100 high‑school students.
- Plan, develop, and implement enriching extracurricular activities.
- Create a safe, academically focused, supportive environment, ensuring student well‑being and success.
- Work collaboratively with site leadership and staff to achieve program goals.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring student safety on and off campus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or education field and two years progressively responsible experience related to school‑aged children.
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience in a school or youth development program.
- Valid AK driver’s license with a clean driving record; capable of operating a 15‑passenger van.
- Strong student supervision skills, including tutoring and time‑management coaching.
- Experience developing and facilitating STEM‑based programming and life‑skills courses.
- Commitment to risk management and safety procedures.
- Teaching certification preferred.
- Current CPR with AED/First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience working with rural and/or Indigenous Alaska populations preferred.
Bethel‑based, term‑funded, full‑time, 9‑month exempt position with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79 with a 38% geographic differential.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a suitable candidate is found. The position is term‑funded and reviewed annually for contract renewal.
