Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Director, the Group Therapist primary role will be to conduct group therapy to meet caseload requirements for Acute or Residential Child/Adolescent and/or Adult patients. The therapist is responsible for developing and/or utilizing an evidence‑based group therapy curriculum, completing documentation within established time frames and formats, and sxuring the design, structure, and implementation of group therapy services to best meet the needs of patients and the facility.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) & Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany (a UHS facility)

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5‑17. The treatment programs offer a structured and supportive environment that promotes self‑acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. The multidisciplinary team—consisting of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and highly specialized nurses—collaborates to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans. Cedar Ridge includes a 116‑bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, outdoor courtyard, and playground.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany is a 56‑bed psychiatric hospital offering adult behavioral health programs and treatment services. The team provides crisis stabilization and medication management for patients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, paranoia, schizophrenia, and other conditions. The facility offers a secure haven for patients experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts and supports patients in regaining their sense of self‑worth.

Adult inpatient’Or therapy is for individuals over 18 with severe mental illness that impacts their ability to function.

• Licensed Master’s Level Therapist or Social Worker or under supervision for license
• LCSW preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successfully complete a drug test
• Successfully pass a national background check
• Physical agility to manage patients
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior
