** Security Officer - Alarm Response Patrol

** Bessemer, AL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or access control needs as directed, and provide strong customer service through clear communication.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including offices, lobbies, loading areas and/or parking areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor and employee traffic, verifying credentials and directing guests according to site procedures.

+ Complete required reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs and/or maintenance observations, and communicate relevant information to the next shift.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
