Rate: $69,680 – $91,104 (Based on experience & licensing)

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Unrestricted, current license in Alabama (LCSW, LICSW, LPC, LMSW)
• Previous counseling experience in a correctional setting is preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Subject to background check, security clearance, and drug screening
• Must maintain all required licensures and certifications and complete continuing education

• Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions tailored to inmates’ mental health needs
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations
• Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety
• Offer behavioral health consultation to multidisciplinary clinical teams and correctional personnel
• Provide crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques as required during mental health emergencies
• Support and lead care coordination efforts for patients transitioning back the community
• Initiate, complete, and maintain patient treatment plans
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and update care strategies
• Assist in planning and implementing goals and objectives for clinical programs and projects
• Lead and participate in in‑service training programs and assist in the orientation of new staff members
• Prepare necessary documentation, including treatment records and reports, in compliance with regulations
• Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to maintain safety
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure operations of the facility
