Work schedule will be Full-time, Days, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm and Saturdays 8am - 12pm on a rotation

Summary:

Responsible for providing support to physician and nursing staff and receiving patients and their families

• Answer telephones /scan records /process correspondence as directed
• Schedule patient appointments as directed
• Participate in monthly OMA team meetings
• Communicate new policies/procedures, and workflows to OMA team members
• Perform other administrative duties as directed

• Retrieve patients from the waiting area and accompany them to the exam room
• Triage patient obtaining the reason for the visit and a brief history, recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, head circumference and pain score
• Preparing patients for examinations and performing routine screening tests.
• May assist the physician during the examination and procedures
• Restrain patient as needed during examination/procedures
• Provide rotating evening/weekend OMA coverage as needed
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms between patients, thoroughly clean and sanitize exam rooms weekly

Other information:
Good communication skills; computer systems and general office equipment.

Education

* High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent

Experience

* 3 Years of experience as a medical assistant or clinical assistant in a healthcare setting. Practice/clinic experience preferred.
