Job Title: Relationship Banker/Senior Relationship Banker - Bessemer

Overview: The position focuses on providing an industry leading client service experience both in person and on the phone, developing and expanding new and existing client relationships, and delivering financial solutions that meet client needs based on consultative conversations. Cross training may be required to perform teller duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Exer cises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
  • Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services with a focus on developing, expanding and retaining relationships.
  • Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs or financial goals to other internal specialists.
  • Participates fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advances personal knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings, training classes and web-based learning.
  • Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
  • Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies; stays informed of policy changes to ensure compliance.
  • Engages clients with courteous conversation, conducts transactions, uncovers needs, and may greet clients and assist them in navigating the branch.

    Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check and ongoing regulatory requirements
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs and occasional locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with a high level of service quality
  • Experience with discussing, recommending and selling deposit, credit and retirement products to consumer and small business clients
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
