Scope of PracticeMac Neal Hospital's Progressive Care Unit is a 25‑bed unit that routinely cares for patients with complex medical conditions. The unit specializes in angina, syncope, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac intervention. Cardiac Telemetry Nurses are trained in performing EKGs, interpreting cardiac rhythms, administering IV cardiac medications, phlebotomy, and are certified in ACLS.

Requirements- A degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required – BSN or ADN
- BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
- Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire

BSN: $34.76 – $57.06 per hour
ADN: $32.31 – $50.71 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
