As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team.
Position OverviewThe Legal Assistant plays a key role in supporting attorneys and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position involves direct client interaction, document preparation, case organization, and administrative support—particularly for immigration-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with clients in person, by phone, and via email (Spanish and English).
- Assist with client intake, questionnaires, and document collection.
- Prepare, organize, and file legal documents and forms.
- Maintain and update client files and case management systems.
- Schedule consultations, hearings, and deadlines.
- Follow up with clients regarding missing documents or upcoming appointments.
- Support attorneys with administrative and case-related tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant (law firm experience preferred).
- Fluency in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
- Experience in immigration law or family law.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court filings.
- Experience with legal case management software.
