Sterile Processing Tech II Registry at Loyola Medicine

Weekend coverage needed. The Technician is on call Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities include decontaminating instruments, assembling trays and case carts for specific surgical procedures, sterilizing instrument trays for prescribed patient procedures, and processing a variety of highly specialized surgical instrument trays and powered surgical tools in high‑pressure situations. The technician documents instrument quarantine and biological indicator results, handles BI documentation, informs supervisors of any issues, reprocesses as needed, and maintains a clean, organized work area.

Part‑time

Evening shift, on call Saturday and Sunday

• High School Diploma (Required)
• High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education (Preferred)

• Less than one year of previous job‑related experience (Required)
• 1‑2 years of previous job‑related experience (Preferred)

• Surgical – Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (Required)
