Support Worker​/Personal Assistant – Paxton

A lovely gentleman, living at home in the village of Paxton, is looking for a small team of Personal Assistants to offer him some daily support. The role would involve up to 4 visits each day to assist him with personal care, medication administration and meal preparation. The gentleman is very flexible with times and keen to receive applications form anyone that could cover even some of his shifts.

• Hours per week:
  Up to 14 hours
• Hours of work: 30-minute visits X 4 a day, Morning, lunch, tea and bed visits – times to be agreed with Employer.
• £13.20 per hour.
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
• Probationary period of 6 months
• Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

• To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
• To support with personal care needs as required, including:
  • Support with washing/showering.
  • Support with shaving.
  • Support with dressing.
  • Administration of medication.
• To support with general care needs such as:
  • Meal and drink preparation.
• To support to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client’s equipment and surroundings
• To develop a positive relationship with the client and his caring family.
• To work as part of a team to ensure support needs are met.

Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.
