Market Research, Research Scientist, Research Analyst
Swiss Core, the liaison office in Brussels, acts as a link between the Swiss and European communities in the fields of education, research and innovation (ERI), and supports the participation of the Swiss ERI institutions in the EU programmes in these fields. It is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and Innosuisse.
Its partners in Switzerland are Euresearch, Movetia, Swissuniversities, and the ETH-Board. For the liaison office, we are hiring a
- You will act as a link between Swiss and European actors and programmes in the research field, particularly relating to the instruments under Horizon Europe
- You will compile high-quality, targeted information on research policies and programmes at EU level
- You will support Swiss participation in EU research programmes and work closely with Swiss research actors, focusing on Horizon Europe
- You will promote and network Swiss research actors at European level
- You will represent Swiss research actors in official bodies and at meetings and events
- You will contribute to the visibility of the Swiss research landscape in Brussels
- You are prepared to also cover education and innovation-related dossiers where necessary
- University degree (MA or equivalent qualification)
- Several years of experience in the public or private sector
- Familiar with the Swiss research landscape and good knowledge of EU research policy and relevant programmes
- Able to consider the Swiss-EU relationship in the wider political context
- Very good editorial skills and knowledge of German, French and English
- Analytical skills, enjoyment of research, talent for organisation and good IT skills
- Confident, pleasant manner, able to work under pressure and good networking skills
- Strong interest in working to promote collaboration between Switzerland and Europe in the area of research
- A varied, highly interesting role in an open, multicultural environment
- Working in a strong, small and dynamic team
- An attractive workplace in the European Quarter of Brussels
- Position limited to five years
- Swiss employment contract with good social benefits, six weeks holiday, 42 hour week, international allowance
Starting date is 1.September
2026 or by agreement.
