Job Overview

The Yard Area Manager is responsible for managing yard operations in coordination with Dock, Receive and Ship teams to ensure FIFO processing and mitigate Customer Experience Risks  work to be the most customer centric company on earth. Exceptional talent, bright and driven people are needed.

The EU Transportation Operations Management team is seeking an Area Manager in PAD1 to manage the yard operations in our yards. If you thrive in a challenging and fast‑paced environment, this could be your perfect match. The role requires excellent program management skills, leadership and mentorship capabilities, data analysis, and communication to influence change at local and global levels.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with Site leadership to improve safety, on‑time performance of trucks in and out of yards, and customer experience metrics.
  • Channel communication between multiple stakeholders to streamline truck flow in the yard, ensuring on‑time arrival and departure.
  • Report yard performance to local site leadership, identify root causes of structural issues, and drive resolution with stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implementation of Lean tools.
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, measuring and identifying activities performed.
  • Ability to work some weekend shifts as needed (team provides tactical support 6 days/week).
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree or relevant experience in people management.
  • Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Experience working in a logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
  • Preferred qualifications are not required; we consider all applicants with basic qualifications.
