Position: Employee Relations / HR Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations / HR Specialist to manage and support employees on long-term sick leave. This role requires strong expertise in Swiss social insurance systems, including health, accident, and disability insurance, as well as solid case management experience.

The ER / HR Specialist will act as a trusted advisor to employees and internal stakeholders, ensuring legal compliance and supporting structured, sustainable reintegration into the workplace.

Requirements

Case Management

  • Oversee and coordinate long-term sick leave cases from initial notification through return-to-work or transition to disability benefits.
  • Maintain regular communication with employees, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders.

Social Insurance Expertise

  • Advise on Swiss social insurance processes (KVG, UVG, IV, EO, etc.) and ensure correct application of benefits.
  • Ensure adherence to Swiss labor law and internal policies related to sick leave and reintegration.
  • Develop individualized return-to-work plans in collaboration with HR, managers, and health insurance professionals.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and external partners regarding long-term absence cases.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for managing long-term sick leave situations.
Competences

Qualifications & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Swiss social insurance systems and regulations.
  • Experience in case management or employee relations, ideally within healthcare, insurance, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of Swiss labor law related to sick leave and disability.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Fluent in German and English (French is a plus).
  • Background in HR, social insurance, or healthcare administration.
