Professor in Swiss Constitutional and Administrative Law (open rank)

As of 1 August 2027, the KPM Center for Public Management and the Institute for Public Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bern are seeking a Professor in Swiss Constitutional and Administrative Law (open rank).
Position- Depending on qualifications, we offer a position as a full professorship, associate professorship or assistant professorship with tenure track.
- Completed habilitation or a well‑advanced habilitation project, or an equivalent academic qualification.
- License to practice law or a comparable track record with practical experience.
- Further excellent academic achievements in constitutional and administrative law with specialisations in, for example, administrative organisational law, digitisation or public finance and economic law.
- Teaching experience and the willingness to serve on the management board of the interdisciplinary KPM Center for Public Management and to participate in the acquisition of third‑party funding.
- Proficiency in German necessary for teaching, research and academic self‑administration.
- Cultivates a supportive and appreciative research culture.
- Exhibits appropriate leadership qualities.
