As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, your daily responsibilities center on compassionate, skilled resident care and meticulous clinical documentation. You will:

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, delivering safety-focused, evidence-based interventions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor responses, and promptly report changes to the care team.
  • Perform vital signs assessments, wound care, and routine clinical tasks while upholding infection control and resident safety protocols.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, nutrition, and hydration, promoting independence and comfort.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and social services to implement care plans and respond to evolving resident needs.
