Logline:
After discovering his father's dark past, a young digital artist finds the strength to leave behind a legacy of violence and find his own voice through a community of diverse but like-minded people.

Story:
Leo escapes the cold reality of his alcoholic father Jack through digital art. Discovering a youth welfare report, he realizes Jack's aggression is an echo of transgenerational trauma coming from Edward, the father of Jack. In a drawing event with Kofi/Zuri, Muhammad/Fatima, and Wei/Fang, Leo finds healing and collective euphoria.

Visual Style:
Contrast between cold (park/apartment) and warmth (studio), shot on RED Komodo / ARRI Amira (SAE Support).

Moodboard:

• Making sure the Audio Recording is as smooth as possible with a Shotgun Mic and Wireless Lavalier Microphones (preparing them to eliminate friction sound).
• Communication with the Camera Operator so the Audio Recordings are Timecode Synced.
• Equipment will be available, but using your own equipment is preferred if it has 32 bit.
• At least 1 technical rehearsal.
• Analyzing the Script to come up with ideas for Atmos Recordings (Optional).

• Knowledge through Credits and a Show reel or an Audio Recording education is required (both are preferred).
• Fast and forward-thinking communication.
• Person of your word.

"Anchorage" is a high-ambition hybrid project. We are filming a narrative short film (3.5 min). This footage will be used to simultaneously edit a cinematic Apple Spec Spot (2-2.5 min).

• By participating, you gain two distinct, high-end credits for your portfolio: a deep narrative drama, and a glossy, commercial aesthetic.
• You can use parts of the material for your show reel!
• Rental, Set-Design and Make-Up Budgets are available so our Portfolio peace will be visually very shiny.
• Catering, snacks, water and coffee (BYOC for coffee) for all days.

Shooting Dates:
Feb 12th – 16th, 2026. Only apply if you can make it to those Shooting Dates!

Commitment: 3 planned days + 1 potential pickup day (approx. 5-6h per session).

I would appreciate if you also can make it on 1 or all of the dates between the Jan 30th – Feb 02nd, 2026, because I need to finish the Spec Spot till the Mar 06th for my school. If everything works out with the Team and Locations, we will shoot in that time frame, so we do not need to shoot on the dates Feb 12th – 16th, 2026.

However for Feb 12th – 16th, 2026 we already have locations. Therefore, if you cannot take part at the shoot Jan 30th - Feb 02nd, 2026, but can on Feb 12th – 16th, 2026, you still can apply.

Shooting Locations:
We shoot in 3 Locations: in a Park, in a Seminar Room of my School and in a flat, which looks like it from an old person. All in Berlin.

Note:

Travel and accommodation costs cannot be covered.

To honor and motivate the crew and cast's contribution, any eventual revenue (festival prize money or monetization) will be handled transparently.

Cost Recovery:
First, all out-of-pocket production costs (catering, equipment, logistics) are covered.

Even Split:
All subsequent net profits go into a pool shared equally among all cast and crew members.
