SAP Basis Manager

As a permanent member of our IT organization, you will take long-term ownership of the SAP S/4

HANA 2023 on-premise landscape. You will ensure stable operations, guide continuous improvement, and act as a key technical partner to both business stakeholders and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and continuously manage the SAP S/4
  
  HANA on-premise environment, including SAP Fiori, SAP GRC, SAP Solution Manager, and integration technologies such as SAP PI/PO
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for SAP Basis topics, working closely with internal teams and long-term external partners
• Ensure reliable day-to-day system operations through proactive monitoring, regular health checks, incident and change management, performance optimization, patching, and transport governance
• Oversee technical communication and interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP Web Dispatcher, SAProuter, SAP HANA Studio/Cockpit, Open Text Archive Server, Open Text IES, and SAP Adobe Document Services
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, standardization, and the adoption of SAP best practices aligned with long-term business goals
• Provide technical leadership for ongoing system enhancements, upgrades, migrations, and the introduction of new SAP technologies

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP technical architecture within enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4
  
  HANA (preferably release 2023 or newer), SAP Fiori, and SAP HANA database administration and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO, SAP Solution Manager, and complex SAP integration landscapes
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP S/4
  
  HANA Cloud, and SAP BTP is an advantage
• Solid knowledge of SAP security, backup and recovery concepts, transport management, high availability, monitoring, and automation in hybrid SAP environments
• Proven experience collaborating with and steering external SAP service providers over the long term
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
