Best Logic Staffing is seeking a skilled CNC VTL Machinist to operate and maintain CNC Vertical Turning Lathe equipment for our clients manufacturing operations. The machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and running CNC VTL machines to produce high-precision components, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, safety standards, and quality requirements.

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes to machine precision components.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  .
• Perform machine offsets, adjustments, and tool changes as needed.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments
  .
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and cutting tools.
• Document work performed, including job travelers and inspection records.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues to maintain production flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow company, OSHA, and industry safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in machining preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of CNC machining experience (VTL experience strongly preferred).
• Ability to set up, edit programs, and run CNC machines independently.
• Knowledge of G-code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar).
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Standing and operating machinery for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
