Our client is seeking a reliable Chemical Operator
to support night‑shift production in a 24/7 chemical manufacturing facility. This hands‑on role involves operating plant equipment, handling raw materials, monitoring process conditions, performing quality checks, and ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Candidates with previous chemical plant or manufacturing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule:11PM–7:00AM | Night Shift Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and adjust plant systems including feeds, temperatures, pressures, and flows.
- Follow written procedures, batch instructions, and direction from Leads and Managers.
- Perform process sampling, basic testing, and documentation in accordance with quality requirements.
- Track and maintain material inventory.
- Weigh and add raw materials accurately and safely.
- Load finished products into bulk tankers, totes, and drums.
- Assist maintenance teams by preparing equipment for repair or service.
- Follow OSHA, EPA, PSM, and internal safety policies.
- Maintain housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Record data accurately in the ERP system and required logs.
- Participate in EHS programs, safety drills, and ongoing training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across all levels.
- Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to management.
- Support shift coverage needs including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High School Diploma.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work night shift and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
- 1–5 years of chemical or manufacturing experience (Chemical Plant Technician certificate may substitute)
Skills:
- Certificate in Chemical Processing or related field.
- Experience with emergency response training.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and environmental compliance.
- 24/7 chemical manufacturing facility.
- Night shift role with overtime as needed.
- Exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Fast‑paced production team with strong focus on safety and quality.
