DoD Skill Bridge:
Traveling Construction Superintendent
Company: Ameri Tech Contracting
Duration: 91-120 Days
Location: Connecticut, New Hampshire, (CT, NH) during program, then nationwide travel.
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: Unpaid per DoD guidelines; military pay/benefits continue.
(Post-DoD Skillbridge Program): $70,000 - $95,000
OverviewAmeri Tech Contracting, a HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Awardee, offers transitioning service members direct training in federal construction. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will lead on-site operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate subcontractors-building skills for a civilian career in construction leadership. From minor improvements to multi-million-dollar builds, we exceed expectations through trust, innovation, and service.
Responsibilities
• Supervise daily site activities and enforce safety protocols
• Review drawings, specs, and scopes of work
• Conduct inspections, manage punch lists, and maintain documentation
• Coordinate subcontractors and support project scheduling.
Safety & Compliance
• Enforce Accident Prevention Plan (APP)
• Conduct safety audits and promote a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications
• 4+ years construction experience
• Strong knowledge of building methods and safety standards
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel and obtain security clearance
• Certifications (or willingness to obtain): OSHA 30, USACE CQM, EM 385-1-1, CPR/First Aid
• Preferred:
Procore experience, federal/USACE project background

Daily mentorship, weekly reviews, career coaching.
Career PathSuperintendents can grow into senior leadership roles such as Project Manager or Director of Construction, gaining increased responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, and strategic oversight across federal and commercial projects.

EligibilityFor active military members within final 180 days of service and approved for Skill Bridge.
