Machine Shop Technician

My client are looking for a Machine Shop Technician / CNC Programmer to join their manufacturing team in Tring. You will ensure their machines (which house complex electronics, robotics, imaging systems etc) are manufactured to the precision they require.

• Manufacture prototype and small-batch components using modern CNC milling and turning equipment
• Program, set and operate CNC machine tools, including multi-axis machining
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to support new part development
• Inspect components to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications
• Contribute to continuous improvement, quality and safe working practices

• Apprentice-trained machinist or equivalent experience in a precision engineering environment
• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating capability
• Confident reading engineering drawings and tolerances
• Proactive, self-motivated communicator with a quality-focused mindset

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working in a technically advanced workshop environment.
