Dispatcher – PHL Airport – Arora Engineers
Provide 24/7/365 support for gate systems, the Generator Control Unit (GCU), the EGSE Charging Stations, baggage systems, and facility maintenance. Dispatchers respond to calls and dispatch maintenance services, coordinate corrective work, and support operational needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as the first contact to customers and vendors.
- Answer phones and enter work orders into the CMMS (IBM Maximo).
- Coordinate scheduling of technicians and customer service requirements with onsite maintenance personnel.
- Implement work order schedules to maximize utilization of technicians and resources.
- Create parts notifications as necessary.
- Respond to operational inquiries, complaints and issues within 1 minute of being notified.
- Perform data entry for all preventive and corrective maintenance activity into CMMS.
- Generate new work orders, log into CMMS, and track completion time and materials used.
- Create purchase orders and track spare parts inventory.
- Monitor baggage systems and dispatch mechanics to address issues.
- Dispatch maintenance and custodial services as needed.
- Maintain contact logs for all requests.
- Record and maintain logs of airline operational activity.
- Assist in training of others.
- Run operation reports and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Report issues that could lead to additional system failures.
- Assist with operational issues during outages or failures.
- Comply with company safety program and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 24/7 operations; night and weekend shift work required.
- Familiarity with airport operational concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Confidential handling of sensitive documents.
- Basic computer operation skills.
- Strong reading, comprehension, and written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work accurately amid interruptions and changing workloads.
- Flexible scheduling and ability to take direction.
- Multi‑tasking and prioritization skills.
- Detail‑ and safety‑oriented.
- Relationship‑building with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Eligibility for US employment.
- Meet worksite security requirements.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pre‑certification or associate degree is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or dispatching with airport equipment.
- 2+ years of experience with data entry, scheduling, or processing work orders.
- Writing proficiency for reports and forms (email).
- Knowledge of airport equipment is a plus.
