Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking motivated Platform Systems Manufacturing Engineer to support the Air Dominance Platform Systems organization located in St.
Louis, MO. Boeing Air Dominance products support the vital missions of defense forces around the world and provide protection and relief in a constantly changing geopolitical environment. With more than 70 years of leadership in fixed wing technology. Boeing has consistently demonstrated dedication to improvement and innovation. Boeing St. Louis is the proud home of some of the most advanced fixed wing platforms in the world, including F-15EX Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and T-7A Redhawk.
This position offers an opportunity to support these platforms and the following systems (Armament, Crew System/Escape, ECS, Electrical, Equipment Install, Fuel, Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Mechanisms, and Thermodynamics). These platforms support customers including the US Air Force, US Navy, and international customers. The St. Louis site offers exceptional professional development and advancement opportunities for future leaders. These positions are located in the St.
Louis region and support current and emerging aircraft programs as part of the Air Dominance division in Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS). Position Responsibilities
* Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
* Participates in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
* Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
* Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
* Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
* Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
* Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
* Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
* Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
* Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
* Implements lean principles and technologies.
* Reviews design requirements and approves new releases and revisions to existing designs.
* Reviews and implements non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
* Translates design requirements Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand within the program production system. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
* 5+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
* Experience using MESci, NX / Teamcenter, and familiarity with reading 2-D drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
* Manufacturing Engineering experience on military or commercial aircraft Conflict of Interest:
