Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid‑Level Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team located in Berkeley, MO
. This position will support current and growing critical quality and procurement activity for established and proprietary programs for mission‑critical commodities. Successful candidates will have a background in supply chain, design engineering, mission sub‑systems, with strong preference to those knowledgeable about design maturity and supporting quality milestones throughout all phases of the product life cycle.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Support early quality involvement with supplier conducting requirement consumption review.
  • Create inspection planning for supplier produced parts. Commodities include complex machining, composites, tubes and ducts.
  • Identify and mitigate risk in supply base.
  • Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provide material review dispositions for non‑conformances.
  • Analyze non‑conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compile performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified process capability levels are achieved.
  • Work under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality processes.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting supplier audits.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience supporting defense/military customers.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working in design engineering.
  • Experience working with end‑to‑end Supply Chain processes.
  • Experience with First Article Inspections (e.g., AS9102).
  • Experience working with technical processes such as Electrical, Hydro‑Mechanical, Avionics.
