Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated and talented Experienced or Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Teams in Berkeley, MO.

Experienced or Senior Structural Analysis Engineer – Berkeley, MO. Lead and contribute to structural analysis within a multidisciplinary engineering team, supporting current and future programs.

• Lead development, integration and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements. Verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to define structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• Lead development of test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Define and document certification and test results to substantiate to customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
• Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
• Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
• Work under minimal direction.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Materials Sciences)
• Level 3 - 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Level 4 - 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• 3+ years of work-related experience performing structural fatigue and fracture analysis
• Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
• Ability to develop technical reports and present results

• Active Secret Clearance
• Knowledge and experience with fixed wing military aircraft platforms
• Knowledge of Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and its requirements
• Experience with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN, Stress Check and Lifeworks
• Ability to understand and write engineering reports based on analysis results, test findings and maintenance reports
• Experience with Spectrum Generation
• Experience with Full-Scale Fatigue Testing and/or other structural and material testing plans
• Strong oral and written communications skills
