Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) – Senior Design and Analysis Engineer (Electronic Systems Design & Analysis)Location:
Berkeley, MO. This level‑4 integration engineer will lead the requirements, development, and testing of new capabilities for the F/A-18 aircraft as part of the Advanced Mission Systems organization.
- Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Lead and coordinate analysis to translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.
- Lead work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Oversee the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Resolve problems related to fielded hardware and software across the entire product lifecycle.
- Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
- Make recommendations for technology investments.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security ClearanceRequires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre‑Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- (Level
4) 9+ years of work‑related experience with a Bachelor’s, or 7+ years of work‑related experience with a Master’s, or 4+ years of work‑related experience with a PhD. - Experience with military avionics technology.
- Experience developing or integrating mission systems for military aircraft.
- Experience with electronic system design, code, and test.
- Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases.
- Experience with Multi‑Level Security (MLS) implementation.
- Experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Typical Education/ExperienceEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years’ related work experience, Master + 7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required.

Summary pay range for Senior (Level
4): $129,200 – $174,800.
