Our Flight Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Test Engineer in Berkeley, MO to support the Air Dominance Flight Test Engineering Capability team.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Flight Test Engineering Capability Leader and develop future strategy for the organization to support significant growth projected in our flight test programs. This includes further developing and instructing flight test engineering training programs, updating processes, and modernizing tools. Responsibilities also include program planning and execution strategy support to ensure safe and efficient execution of test programs, integration support with other Integrated Product Teams, and resolution of issues.
At times this position may directly support the execution of test programs and conduct missions.
- Update and develop new Flight Test Engineering training courses
- Instructor for flight test engineers and test conductors
- Update and develop new Flight Test Processes, practices, and standards as needed
- Develop/modernize flight test tools
- Flight test program planning and execution support
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent qualification directly related to the work statement.
- 8+ years of experience working on flight test programs, preferably as a flight test engineer, test conductor, and/or test director.
- 8+ years of experience with the principles of flight test or experience directly supporting flight test operations.
- Experience supporting a military flight test program.
- Experience leading flight test execution in a control room environment as a test conductor and/or test director.
- Experience authoring test plans and test cards in support of a military flight test program.
- Capable of traveling as required, up to 10%.
- Level 5: 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ShiftThis position is primarily for 1st shift; however, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Lead level (Level
4): $120,700 – $163,300
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level
5): $149,600 – $202,400
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
Security ClearanceThis position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
