Job DescriptionFerguson Florissant School District is committed to challenging students to achieve academic excellence and personal success by providing state-of-the-art instruction and a challenging curriculum within a warm, caring environment in partnership with dedicated parents, staff and community.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid Missouri teaching certificate in Art K-12.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, interest, and abilities of students.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established District curriculum goals, establish and communicate clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units and projects.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, provide progress reports as required, and communicated with parents as deemed necessary.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administration regulations.
- Develop a code of conduct for the classroom, which is consistent with established Discipline Code of the District and the assigned building.
- Develop rules of classroom behavior, which are enforced in a fair and just manner.
- Maintain good attendance.
